Hope Whitestone recently graduated Alter High School and is working towards a degree in Biomedical Engineering.
She shares the same diagnoses as her sister, Sara, and has also benefitted from the POTS and Dysautonomia Treatment Center. In 2016, she experienced such severe symptoms that she had to give up her leading role in the high-school and community musical theater company and stop playing soccer. Soon after, her community rallied to support her and fundraised again enough to go to Dallas for biofeedback treatment. Thankfully, she found support through the same specialists as Sara had and is now maintaining a higher quality of life. In 2018 after graduating Alter with the Valor Award, she continued volunteering with HOBY and took a gap year to live and work abroad as a fille au pair in Bordeaux, France. She is currently a full-time student in Dayton, Ohio. |
